In Order To Heal, Are You Willing To Do Something Different?

This may sound like a strange question, but how open are you to healing outside the box?

I mean REALLY? Would you tip-toe out of the box or jump out all the way?

Are some things off limits, or have you reached the point where you'd do anything to feel better?

Just like fashion, everything that's old is new again in medicine. Although it's not widespread, physicians are increasingly turning toward ancient methods of healing. Some examples include using maggots, leeches, herbal remedies, acupuncture, chiropractic, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, nutritional therapy, and essential oils. Other than the maggots and leeches (I would get a bit squicky about those.), the other modalities are included in a licensed Naturopathic Doctor's training.

There's also a new wave of mainstream MD's becoming trained in a field called "Functional Medicine". It has similarities to Naturopathic Medicine in considering a more holistic approach. The fields of nutritional therapy, bio-identical hormone therapy, genetic testing for individualized treatment recommendations based on gene mutations and so much more are absolutely exploding with possibilities.

Besides physicians, there are other practitioners specializing in healing methods some may consider outside the box. For the record, I'm super open minded about healing modalities of all kinds.  I'd probably even use the leeches and maggots if I REALLY needed it (Though fingers crossed I don't!).

If you're on my mailing list, then you've gotten a sneak peak at some of my favorite out of the box modalities including crystals, flower essences, homeopathy and a few old-school Naturopathic treatments. However, there's so much more! I have amazing friends that are sound healers, energy workers (such as Reiki and other forms), use color therapy, fashion therapy (Healing the way you express yourself through clothes. Trust me, it's a thing.), art, dance, music, craniosacral therapy,  past life regression therapy, hypnosis, forest bathing, and so on. There's just so many!

My point is this: If you haven't found healing with the therapies you've tried so far, then try something different! No matter where you are in the world, your community will have someone doing alternative therapy. We're everywhere! You may have to look a little harder for us because many are worried about acceptance. As alternative therapies becomes more normalized, you'll see these amazing healers shouting from the rooftops.

To begin, work within your comfort level on how far outside the box you'd like to try. Your therapist will recommend the number of treatments necessary based on your individual presentation. It's important to have realistic expectations about the duration of treatment. Because natural therapies work with the body, some will work quickly while others need time to repair years of damage. Expecting many treatments to work overnight is like planting a seed and expecting to see a full grown plant the next day. Good things often take time, so be patient!

Neuro-Emotional Technique (N.E.T.) is another therapy that's highly specialized and falls outside what's normally considered mainstream. It's been my extreme pleasure to help people release old sabotaging patterns, trauma, and fears to reach their true potential. If you think that you'd like to step outside the box and try Neuro-Emotional Technique (N.E.T.), free consultations are available. Let's see how it can help you!
