Do You Have A Poverty Mindset?

Dr. Scott Walker, the creator of Neuro-Emotional Technique (N.E.T.) discovered that the two things causing us the most stress are Money and Love. I've certainly found this to be true in my own practice with clients.

The Money category includes money, job, career, finances and all material things. However, even the concept of "money" is enough to cause sensitive people stress. If you have a poverty mindset, then there is a deep fear that there will never be enough. This fear can make you hold tightly to your money, possessions, and even your job because once lost, they may never be replaced.

When working with Empaths or other sensitive people, I've noticed similar behavioral and personality patterns that tend to be problematic. The following is a list of beliefs that commonly arise during Neuro-Emotional Technique (N.E.T.) sessions for those seeking help with poverty mindset patterns.

*Money is bad (evil, dirty, etc.)

*Money is not a valid form of currency (bartering, giving thanks, or giving services for free feels better)

*It's wrong to charge for helping people (ex. charging for healing services)

*If you have something (money, possessions etc.), then others won't (poverty mindset-the belief that there isn't enough for everyone)

*A feeling or belief that you don't deserve to have lots of money

*Having money will make you a bad person or change your personality (i.e. it's better not to have it so you can stay nice)

These patterns typically begin in childhood based on your family experiences. These experiences are influenced by THEIR family's experiences and so on. This learned behavior serves as the foundation upon which you build even FURTHER beliefs surrounding poverty mindset or a belief in scarcity and lack.

So how do you break the cycle of scarcity thinking?

Step 1: Recognize when you've had a thought that's not in alignment with an abundance mindset. Don't beat yourself up, but immediately change the direction of your thinking.

Step 2:  Begin affirmations that reinforce your new abundance mindset. Focus on WHAT YOU WANT and not what you don't have or what's missing. Your energy flows where your focus goes.

Step 3: Meditate and visualize on where you want to be and what you want to draw into your life. The Subconscious/Emotional brain is highly programmable and can't tell the difference between actual reality and what you TELL it is real (i.e. emotional reality).

Step 4: If you're having trouble letting go of old subconscious programming about money, then schedule a Neuro-Emotional Technique (N.E.T.) session to clear out those old belief systems.
