3 Ways to Step Into Your Power According to the Matrix

Have you seen the Matrix movies from the 90’s?

Maybe you haven’t seen them in years (or at all), so I’ll give you a little recap.

In a future time, humanity lost a war to the machines (AI) and are being used as a power source for the machines. To keep humanity unaware and docile, their minds have been placed in a virtual reality world that mimics the world of today. There’s a small band of resistance fighters trying to free humanity, and they need the help of “The One” to make it happen.

Enter, Keanu Reeves (FYI he’s my celebrity crush) as the unsuspecting hero named, Neo. In order for Neo to step into his power and save humanity, he has to believe that he’s “The One”.

The Matrix movie has a very valuable lesson to teach us (Spoiler alert: It’s not about AI). The lesson is that to step into our power, we must do 3 things.

  1. We must believe that it exists.
  2. We must believe that we’re worthy of it.
  3. We must believe that it’s ok to step into it.

Just like Neo, we’re going to see some evidence that would support us on the way toward stepping into our power. We’re also going to see the opposite when we try something new, and it doesn’t work. That failure is going to cause our ego to whisper that we don’t have what it takes. We can’t possibly be gifted, talented, or make a difference. Everything we believe is a big, fat lie!

Neo does become “The One” but only after it seems that all hope is lost and he’s about to die. He must let go of all the limiting beliefs about himself before he can fully embrace what he’s meant to become.

Thankfully, this isn’t Hollywood, and we don’t have to do something so drastic to step into our power. However, we do have to let go of our limiting beliefs before we can begin to accept a new reality.

I know what your next question is going to be. “How do we do that?”

I’m going to refer you back to numbers 1-3.

You have to believe that you can be or do something different than your current reality. You have to believe that you’re meant for more than you have right now. You have to believe that you’re worthy and valuable.

All of this happens through subconscious reprogramming and mindset shifts.

There are many different techniques you could use and they all work. Of course, my favorite technique is the Three Brain Realignment Technique (TBRT), but I also use different tools depending on the situation.
